SASS was established to give survivors and allies alike a community where they feel safe, supported, and heard. Josie Carter wanted to take back what was lost the night of her assault, and hopes that SASS serves a similar purpose for others. As a student-run organization, we strive to protect and empower survivors of sexual misconduct on Miami’s campus while simultaneously fighting the existing culture that denies them the justice they deserve.
Our presence can not be ignored, and together we are determined to make change.
